AFFI launches book on entrepreneurship

The Association of Filipino Franchisers, Inc. (AFFI) will launch a compilation on successful entrepreneurs and franchisers called "Introduction to Entrepreneurship" during the 6th Filipino Franchise show dubbed as "AFFI Franchise @ 10", slated at the Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall on July 6-8.

          AFFI President Richard Cuna said the "book will discuss not just the entrepreneurs' business but the significant events in their life that built the foundation of their business success."

          Cuna also said that "the book offers an exceptional glimpse into the business lives of some of the AFFI members - successful entrepreneurs who have blazed trails for others to follow."

          "Their stories are inspiring and the common traits and success secrets they possess are eye openers to the fact that Filipinos have the innate capacity for enterprise and the fortitude for success," said Cuna, president of Italian ice cream maker Milkin Corporation.

          The book showcases the stories of 14 entrepreneurs who reveal that "success" is a matter of having a strong set of values and virtues, belief in God, self and one's business concept, an appetite for challenges, and a desire to make it happen."

          "Entrepreneurs are never born overnight, said Pacita "Chit" Juan, AFFI Chair Emeritus. "Their mind sets, abilities and skills results from a whole process that starts early on in life."

          Juan, CEO of Figaro Coffee, said that "the book will show how the foundation and groundwork for entrepreneurship is laid one by one through all their life experiences. How they looked at challenges and how early training and exposure enabled them to build the personality that will enable them to walk thru successfully varied situations they fase as antrepreneurs."
